Get Well Soon....

I had surgery this past week, and some friends popped by to drop off some flowers. They sure brightened my day, and they made the house feel like spring! Well, that, and it's going to be in the 50's the next couple of days. My sister also dropped off a ton of fresh fruit and I've been enjoying that as well. I'm starting to be more mobile, and it'll be nice one pathology calls me and tells me exactly what it was they took out of me! (I keep saying it was my twin) I'm in good spirits and I should hopefully be mobile enough for a weekend photography road trip next weekend. We shall see....

365!

Today marks exactly one year since I began this 365 day project. I didn't miss a day, and I was able to post a photo every single day. Here's where I am changing things up! Instead of focusing now on quantity, I will focus on quality. If I shoot something that really stands out as an interesting photo, I will share it here. So, it may be a few times a week, or just once a week. I keep my camera with me most days, so hopefully there will be something worthy of posting! (Not just cute dog filler!) HAAA!

This is George, a Mourning Dove a friend rescued. After rehab, she tried to set him free, but he would not leave. He is now a permanent resident and enjoys hanging on your shoulder or arm of a chair.

The Almighty Kong

Any dog person knows how a Kong is a great addition to their doggy toybox. It's made of rubber and you can stuff treats inside, and the dog really has to work at it to remove the treats. They go thru fancy maneuvers such as throwing it, tossing it down stairs, or rolling on it in frustration. My dogs love their Kongs, and they'll work on them for hours!

Happy 2012!

Here it is..... 2012! It's already a bright, sunny day! We finally made it to bed around 2:30am, and Neelah stayed up and partied with us all night long. She didn't want to miss a thing. Lots of good changes in store for this upcoming year. Today is my last day ingesting sugar and carbs for a loooong time, so hopefully photography and dogs will keep me from thinking about icy cold cherry Coke and other sugary delights. Just need to get thru the first week, and then it'll be smooth sailing. I'm not worried, I'm pretty tough. Here's to an awesome 2012!
