I am enjoying vacation on Oak Island, NC. I am literally steps from the beach, and loving it. I bike every morning thru the neighboroods and intercoastal waterways, and I walk the beach every evening. It's fun to get evening sillouette shots of folks on the beach. Here is one I got of a guy and his dogs.

Peaceful Mornings
The past few mornings have been nice and calm ...no high winds and actually a heavy dew. The moisture makes for some great photos...all the spider webs are glistening and every blade of grass sparkles! It's hard for me to decide if I like sunrise or sunset better... I guess they each have their own qualities that I try to capture when I am out with the camera.

Happy Birthday Neelah!
My special girl, Neelah, is now 10 years old! As my very first dog, I've learned a LOT from her. Not just my first dog, but my first agility dog as well. She continues to run the household, make constant requests to play ball or frisbee, and she complains when a bone is out of her reach or hidden. She plays "fun police" when the cats get too rowdy, and she LOVES to be a diva in front of her adoring fans. (Pretty much anyone who will pet her) She is glad summer is here... mainly for swimming and tugging on the water hose. She is still playing agility and we have plans to head to USDAA Nationals this year. Still as sassy (and naughty!) as ever.... happy birthday to my most special little blue dog!

My Dogs Make Me Laugh
There is no better comedy duo than my dogs interacting with water. And I think they secretly like it when I sit there and laugh at them. I also think I need to purchase a new hose. Thank you, Neelah.

Frogs 'N Toads
I don't mind reptiles and amphibians - frogs, toads, snakes, lizards.... not at all. Actually, most living things I am not squeamish about, but there are a few insects and spiders that I like to enjoy from a distance. But I am enthralled by the living world and nature, it's pretty interesting and I love to observe critters. And there's a lot out there!
