Deep Thoughts
In my office I have a little stack of books that I like to thumb through now and again. I've got the happy down.... working on wise, enlightened, and tranquil! ^_^

I was out hiking and saw this HUGE hawk. I almost thought it was an Eagle from far away because he was SO big!

Winter Blahs
No winter blahs for us..... we are able to get out an enjoy the snow and go hiking. I can walk to Lake Zorinsky and there are awesome trails. It's very peaceful and we see lots of wildlife. After last night's additional 8", I think I'll be pulling out the snow-shoes! Tazer and I went for a hike yesterday and it started snowing on our way back home.

Blue jay
Lots of birds taking advantage of the free buffet. This morning there were a couple of blue jays. Man, are they cranky!

Last night was the full moon, and things were so bright with the snow! Here is a shot thru the trees. ( I was freezing my tuckus off!)

Enabler
I am enabling the chubby birds in my neighborhood by leaving out bird seed. My tree is bustling with activity! Here is a Momma Cardinal.

Tidal Wave!
My absolutely favorite sushi roll in the whole world is called The Tidal Wave from BLUE Sushi. It has shrimp, crab, cream cheese, and a sweet wasabi sauce that is deeee-lish!

Melts in your mouth....
I love going to the movies. Even more - I love putting M&Ms in my popcorn. There is nothing better than sweet, squishy M&Ms in my salty popcorn! So, even if the movie sucks, at least I get a little treat!

Good Luck!
I collect Maneki Neko, otherwise known as the Beckoning Cat or Lucky Cat. They are said to bring good luck and happiness to the owner and you display them at an entrance (mainly businesses). I've got bunches, maybe that's why I'm happy-go-lucky! ^_^

Hum
As I sit here in the cold and snow, it was a mere 3 weeks ago I was in sunny Tucson, AZ. Snapped this hummingbird while visiting.

Bring It On!
We're supposed to get 8-10 inches of snow over the next couple of days, and it's already begun. I've located my snowshoes and I am ready for some snow-hiking with the dogs. Bring it on, winter!

Winter Tree
This is a huge, old tree at the end of my street. I think it looks the neatest in winter with its huge, gnarled limbs exposed.

I'm Such a Follower.
OK, a couple people I know started a 365-a-day photo blog thingie. I'm not much of a writer, but anyone who knows me understands I usually have a camera with me at all times. I love taking pictures, and I am not a professional photographer by any means, but I do love catching moments in life. So, I decided to create a photo blog. Just a simple snap a day, nothing earth-shattering, pretty simple.
So, here is my first photo. Every morning I make a small pot or 2 of green tea. It warms me up, wakes me up, and I know it's supposed to be good for me. I'd like to think it's making we wise at the same time, but that has yet to be proven.
