OK, before you get too excited, this guy was in captivity. I went on our zoo's wildlife safari, and they happen to have 2 Bald Eagles in a nice outdoor aviary. Obviously they had been injured at one time and could not be returned to the wild, so they hang out here for people to see close-up. I am lucky I see wild eagles a lot on my morning bike rides. These guys are so neat.
